Get an ESL Peer Consultant

ESL Peer Consultants can help you improve your English language speaking and presentation skills. They cannot provide writing or editing help (click here for a list of writing support services at your school).

To request ESL peer consultation, please submit a request form on the Tutoring @ Harvard portal (log in with your HarvardKey). Please note that you do not need to complete the BSC Peer Tutoring Orientation, which is required for students requesting course-based peer tutoring.

The ESL Peer Tutoring Program is not offered in the summer. Requests for the fall 2019 term will be processed towards the end of August.

Scheduling and Cancellations

Once you are matched with an ESL Peer Consultant, both of you will receive each other's contact information by email. Your consultant will contact you within 24 hours to discuss your goals and to find a time and place to meet. It is up to you and your consultant where, when, how often, and for how long you meet.

If you need to cancel a session, please notify your consultant at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, your consultant is allowed to charge you for one hour.
