A space for students to share and learn from one another’s experiences of bilingualism and multilingualism in the academic setting. Consider insights and options that bilingualism and multilingualism afford and generate strategies for challenges that bilingualism might present in academic endeavors such as reading, writing, and public speaking.
This workshop provides a space for students to share their experiences away from Harvard while studying abroad, completing an internship or a fellowship in and outside the USA. Students will also reflect on the impact of this time away on their views of themselves and the world around them.
For graduate students. Re-entry to Harvard after field work can be disorienting and challenging. This workshop provides a space for reflection on your time away and on the experience of field work, while also taking stock of your re-acculturation to Harvard and your plans for going forward with your dissertation research.
