Quotations
There is no reason anyone
would want a computer in their home.
Everything that can be
invented, has been invented. "One
of the issues that has always worried me about Harvard students,
particularly freshmen, is the notion (which I think is a false one -
but it's a real one in their mind) that they must now justify
everything that has ever been said about them and that they must
prove themselves to be perfect paragons of success and achievement,
and the reason that's a problem is that none of them are perfect
paragons of success or achievement." When one door closes, another opens for us. But we so
often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do
not see the one which has opened for us.
If you have
made mistakes, even serious ones, there is always another chance for
you. What we call failure is not the falling down but the staying down. Success is the
ability to go from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm. I am always
doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it. I am not
afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship. Try the rough
water as well as the smooth. Rough water can teach lessons worth
knowing. If everything
seems under control, you just aren’t going fast enough. Victory goes
to the player who makes the next-to-last mistake. If at first
you don't succeed, find out if the loser gets anything. Failure is
only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.
I think there is a world market for
maybe five computers.
640K ought to be enough
for anybody.
The secret of
success is sincerity. Once you can fake that you've got it made.
An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made
in a very narrow field. |
